Incorporating Sport-Specific Training
MAX Workouts was designed to be done “as is” in order to maximize the results of getting lean, strong, and fit as fast and effectively as possible. However, the program is completely scalable and can easily be modified to fit any type of training program. I have many athletes from many different sports ((e.g. triathlon, marathon, rugby, etc…) that use MAX Workouts in conjunction with their sport-specific training.
For instance, if you’re an endurance athlete such as a triathlete, marathon runner or even an ultra-endurance athlete, you can easily incorporate the MAX Workouts strength training component into your training regimen. The same is true if you’re an athlete who requires more power for shorter bursts of energy for sports such as rugby, soccer, tennis, etc… This is because the MAX Workouts is based on short, high-intensity workouts performed in interval and circuit training formats. All of the workouts are less than 30 minutes, so the program is easy to squeeze into your existing training schedule. The short duration of the workouts also allows for a much quicker recovery time, so it won’t interfere with the training of your chosen sport.
