Exercising with Shoulder Issues
Whether or not your shoulder injury prevents you from participating in the program depends on the type and extent of it.
The Max Workouts program does involve overhead pushing and pulling movements, which can irritate an already-injured shoulder. However, inside, I show you how to modify those exercises to lessen the load on your shoulders. If your injury is moderate and you can do the movements without pain, you're good to go. If it's more severe, I suggest you see a physical therapist and rehab your shoulder before starting the program.
If you're a Max Workouts Community member, be sure to review my Shoulder Injury Guide. It includes:
- Exercises for shoulder mobilization
- Shoulder rehab exercise protocols
- A list of exercise modifications & substitutes for all exercises that involve your shoulders
